In this class, I will show you and teach you how to design a club promotional flyer. You will see the full process from empty canvas to the final design. Designing a flyer doesn't have to be a frustrating job or boring task. I will teach you how to pick the right theme, colour, fonts and elements in order to create a successful design.

You can see that using just a basic technics and tools in Adobe Photoshop but combined with a good idea is just enough to create premium and successful design.

No matter if you are just starting with Photoshop and Graphic designer you already have some experience, this class will give you some great tips to use in your future projects.

As a bonus for taking this class, I am giving you 2 actions to use for free with your projects. This Photoshop actions will create your template, guides, bleeds and margin areas in under a second. This way you don't need to spend any time every time you start a new design. Also, I did include my workspace as well.

  • Introduction  

    Download the asset ZIP file if you want to follow along using the same images, workspace and templates setup.

    I am giving you 2 actions to use for free with your projects. This Photoshop actions will create your template, guides, bleeds and margin areas in under a second. This way you don't need to spend any time every time you start a new design.


    Also, I did include my workspace as well. Finally, I have included the images I use in this design. You'll see they have watermarks but this is just to keep in regulation with the licence and copyrights of the images. However, they are perfect to use if you want to follow along with the lectures.

  • Introduction to template and workspace.  

    Let's look over the design we will create and the setup of your workspace. Don't forget to download your asset so you can use the same workspace.

  • Background Image  

    Learn how to setup your flyer background and how to combine the CMYK with RGB Colour Modes.

  • Model Image. Isolate, Position and Edit.  

    In this lecture I'll show you how to setup your future image, isolate the object and recreate missing part of the image.

  • Finalise Background  

    Final touches to the background so you can move forward with the rest of your design.

  • Create Shapes  

    Let's create some shapes to compliment the design and start building the overall look of the final template.

  • Shapes Colours and Blend modes  

    After you have the shapes in place you can adjust colours, blending modes and effects. Keeping your shapes as a smart objects gives you full freedom to manipulate them without disturbing the original source.

  • Background Adjustments.  

    Let's enhance the flyer background with adding few adjustments and FX.

  • Text Area and Background FX.  

    It's time for your text area. Learn how to make it clean and pop out but still following the design line of your template.

  • Colour Adjustment.  

    This is when you give your final design the punch and correction of any colours, dark areas or overall encache of the design so you make sure is more representative and premium looking template.

  • Add Text and Choice Of Fonts.  

    As much the design is a very important, choosing the wrong fonts can really pull your design back. Fonts and text alignment or position is probably 50% of the success to any design so it's important to choose right and try few options before your final decision.
