Scott Jernigan

Scott Jernigan is editor-in-chief for Total Seminars, which provides PC and network repair seminars, books, videos and courseware for thousands of organizations throughout the world. For over two decades starting from the mid-90’s, Scott has been involved in the computer, network and IT industry, where he has performed various roles, ranging from technician to instructor to editor to author, to speaker.

Scott has been involved in writing, editing, and contributing to dozens of books on a bunch of computer-related subjects such as computer literacy, hardware, operating systems, networking and certification. Scott co-authored the best-selling CompTIA A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, the Mike Meyers A+ Guide to Managing and Troubleshooting PCs, and the CompTIA Strata IT Fundamentals All-in-One Exam Guide. For all of these, he worked with his partner at Total Seminars, Mike Meyers. His latest book is Computer Literacy: Your Ticket to IC3 Certification.

Scott has taught computer classes all over the US, including stints at the United Nations and the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Wondering how Scott has such a strong academic streak about him? It comes from his Master of Arts degree in medieval history, following which he was a fulltime academic. This basic calling is what makes him as comfortable in the mildewed archives of London as in the Houston headquarters of Total Seminars. Scott gave up his academic career to phase himself into IT, at which field too, he brings his academic nature.
