Dr. Don Sharpsteen, a psychology professor at the Missouri University of Science and Technology for nearly 30 years, earned his doctorate in Social Psychology from the University of Denver in 1988. He’s a recipient of the university’s College of Arts and Sciences Excellence in Teaching Award and has taught courses in social psychology, personality, motivation and emotion, developmental psychology, learning, psychoanalysis, evolutionary psychology, close relationships, research methods, psychometrics, and statistics. His research has been published in a variety of psychology journals and edited books, and currently focuses on romantic jealousy, gossip, and why and when parents spank their children. Dr. Sharpsteen is also the author of Research & Education Asssociation's CLEP Introductory Psychology, a test preparation guide for introductory/general psychology courses.
